Our Story
Lee & Ljaljicic Inc was born out of the pandemic.
Two friends got together to brave outdoor dining in NYC on a cold December night in 2020 to talk fashion and shopping. Sitting under heat lamps while eating with our winter coats on, we shared our usual thoughts and stories on current trends, what we were coveting/hating and more importantly how we were currently shopping given that we weren’t really going into stores.
We referenced one of our many recent text message selfies where we were asking each other for advice on what to pair with certain boots and the conversation turned towards how we were now receiving text messages directly from sales associates from department stores like Neiman Marcus since we were no longer shopping in person. We were receiving messages from both long term sales associates who knew our purchase history as well as messages from associates who didn’t know our taste at all and were blasting line sheets.
We asked ourselves - what if our friends, sales associates and stylists had the ability to peek into our closets? They would be able to see what we already own and help us build better outfits. What if there was an easier way for us to share packing lists with friends ahead of our trip to Paris? Allow sales associates to present a new sweater that will go great with a pair of pants and a skirt we already own? Have stylists suggest new pairings for that hot new blazer we just purchased?
